The study, conducted in Great Britain, centered on the relationship women have with their shoes, comparing their shoe memories with their relationship memories. According to Glendon Lloyd, the director of the Tszuji – Shoe Storage Specialists who ordered the study, women will treat their shoes like their best friends, and their memories of their purchases last longer than those of their former lovers.
Out of the 1,000 women questioned for the study, 92% say they remember the first pair of shoes they bought. On the other hand, only 1/3 of those women remembered who gave them their first kiss. 96% confessed that they regretted throwing away a pair of shoes while only 15% regretted having broken up with a boyfriend.
According to the same study, one woman out of 6 owned more than 30 pair of shoes and 1/3 confessed to not having enough space to store them. Read more
