Megaton Mundial de Polito Vega
Megaton Mundial de Polito Vega presented by Felix Cabrera and SBS Entertainment took place yesterday, Sunday September 30th at Citi Field. The show was rescheduled due to an illness in the Vega’s family. Gloria Estefan, Juanes, Jenni Rivera, Don Omar, Paulina Rubio, Ricardo Arjona, Alejandro Sanz, Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce, 3Ball MTY, Silvestre Dangond were some of the Latin music superstars that headlined the historic concert.
The historic show marks the first time top Latin music artists from pop, bachata, merengue, salsa, reggae ton, banda and vallenato shared the stage to honor the “King of Radio” Polito Vega. Vega has been instrumental in maintaining “Mega 97.9FM” & “La Nueva 93.1FM, la Variedad de NY” as the top Spanish radio stations in New York for more than 53 years. The 71-year-old Puerto Rican is famous for his catch phrases like “moving, moving, moving” and is a legend in Latin music to both fans and artists alike.
The concert brings together the hottest acts in Latin music for one night only, thanks to the union of entrepreneur and promoter Felix Cabrera and the largest publicly traded Hispanic-controlled media and entertainment company in the United States, SBS (SBSE) company, which is owned and operated by Raul Alarcon.
New teen sensation, Female girl group, “Love Jones Girlz” who are creating their own buzz in the music industry got a warm welcome with their amazing and energetic performance. The girls are destine for stardom. With our relationship with the group we went to check the girls after their performance by their V.IP Suite. We found them having a well deserved lounge time. We then mingled and took pictures.
The Latin community came out in full to see their favorite Latin stars. The Ladies in the Different V.ip Suites were all fashionably dressed. My Lifestyle magazine, Elizabeth Ortiz, Spanish TV crew Telemundo, TV host Penelope Menchaca and her beautiful daughter Natalia were some of the Celebes that visited Love Jones Girlz V.IP suite. Although we didn’t understand a word of the show, we really enjoyed seeing the Latin community coming together and having a great time. We felt a little culture shock but in a good way. Glam left with a new lesson learned “Sometimes new is good, and nothing is wrong with stepping out of the box and experiencing other culture.”
