Long Island Fitness Trainer and Superstar’s Mom Partner to Combat Domestic Violence
Baldwin, NY- Tamika Hart, owner of BodybyTamika and Carol Maraj, Founder of the Carol Maraj Foundation and superstar Nicki Minaj’s mother, will host their “Fundraiser to End Domestic Violence” on Sunday, April 29th at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will take place at Toddlewood Studio at 818 Merrick Road in Baldwin.
The fundraiser will include music, food, networking, as well as a group of women with the same mission-to end domestic violence.
“This event will shed awareness on domestic violence and also give women an opportunity to celebrate their professional and personal accomplishments,” said Hart. “Domestic abuse can wreak havoc on a person’s self-esteem and cause them to participate in unhealthy behaviors. The proceeds of this fundraiser will support The Carol Maraj Foundation’s programs and services that help domestic abuse survivors learn how to value themselves.”
“I am honored to partner with Tamika because of her passion for helping women take care of their bodies and minds, as well as become the best versions of themselves,” said Maraj. “Both of our lives were impacted by domestic violence and we want to help others overcome the many obstacles caused by this issue.”
