New York, NY — July 17, 2013 — On Saturday, August 31, 2013 Dream Team Nation, Inc. and Joe Jaxson present The Long Island CaribFest 2k13. Headliners include Internationally known Superstar Shaggy with over 20 million albums sold, Grammy award-winning and self-proclaimed “King of Dancehall” Beenie Man, the one and only “Energy God” Elephant Man, and Konshens with his hit song “Gal A Bubble”. Each of these music superstars will grace the stage of The PennySaver Amphitheater (55 South Bicycle Path, Farmingville, NY 11738) with performances set to take place from 3pm – 10pm (times subject to change). VIP tickets are $125.00 which will grant concertgoers an opportunity to meet and greet with the star studded lineup of artists while receiving an official Long Island CaribFest 2k13 tee-shirt.
Shaggy, dubbed as Mr. Bombastic, will perform his internationally known hits like, “It Wasn’t Me.” Beenie Man will perform classics like “Girls Dem Sugar”. These two well-known reggae artists have amassed Grammy Awards along with countless Grammy nominations. Elephant Man, a well-respected dancehall artist and known for classics like “Pon De River.” will have the crowded moving with his energetic stage presence. Konshens, a rising reggae star who has never performed in Long Island before, is excited to perform his recent hit song “Gal A Bubble” for the Long Island concertgoers.
The Long Island CaribFest 2k13 will be hosted by Steelie Bashment and music will be provided by Hot 97 DJ’s Cipha Sounds, DJ Young Chow and Dream Team Nation’s DJ Papa Ice bringing a party atmosphere in between performance sets. In addition to standout performances, concertgoers can look forward to enjoying great food by Caribbean vendors, booths filled with Caribbean inspired fashion, art, and other items for purchase. “Long Islanders are very excited about this line up. Each of these artists are very accomplished reggae superstars and well respected. The PennySaver Amphitheater contains approximately 3,000 seats and vast lawn seating for over 6,500 people. “This concert supersedes the Caribbean culture. Our goal is to bring out people of all ages and ethnicities to explore and get a taste of what the Caribbean culture has to offer. “We want them to enjoy great music and genuinely have a good time”, says Joe Jaxson. The Long Island CaribFest will be an interactive day filled with music, culture, food, raffles, and fun with thousands of people in attendance.
